This very stylish couple approached me 4 months before the wedding, looking for a photographer to capture the day in documentary, reportage style. They wanted their day to be captured as naturally as possible, withminimum posing, simply capturing the real moments as they happened, funny or not. The ceremony was held at the Old Marylebone town hall, which in my opinion is a most beautiful and stylish building in London, both inside and out. I believe the interior design of the building is vital, as it really adds to the ‘wow’ effect, both contrasting and complimenting the outdoor photos. During the ceremony there were many smiles, laughter and humour. Everyone was happy and relaxed without a serious face to be captured anywhere! Straight after the ceremony, whilst everybody was waiting for the happy couple outside with the confetti, we took some time to stay inside and get pictures of just the bride and groom. The confetti shoot went as is to be expected at this moment in the ceremony, with everybody smiling and having fun. The bridesmaid organised the guests so well that a good time was had by all! Then a short drive through London in a black cabto the very famous Ham Yard Hotel in Piccadilly, where we were to have dinner. The beautyof that particular hotel is the amazing roof terrace, which was exactly where we were heading, together with the rest of the guests who were joining us for the evening. The views over London, from the hotel roof were stunning. Furthermore, the terrace was very spacious, complete with it’s own barbecue area. Wonderful food, drinks and live music added to the evening creating the most perfectly beautiful atmosphere. Thanks to the grooms men a few games where organised. At the end of the day all of my pictures were easily captured, as requested in reportage and candid style. As the bride quite rightly remarked, her wedding dress was beautiful, her groom most handsome, but in the end it was thanks to all her guests that she will remember that day, capturedin treasured photographs, for the rest of her life. Photographs to be shared with her children and grandchildren forever!
